From the Eastbourne Herald: Vinegar in shortlist for award

A food producer in Eastbourne has been shortlisted for the finals of the Country Living and Waitrose Made in Britain Awards. Mary and John Stratton, of stratta, produce a unique and award-winning range of vinegars, oils and preserves from their home in Vicarage Drive. Most of the ingredients are sourced locally and they sell the produce at local farm shops and various markets across Sussex and Kent. They put forward their sweet raspberry and sweet lavender vinegar for the competition. Mary said, "We're thrilled to have been chosen as a finalist - it means everything to us. It is a wonderful confirmation that the quality of our products has shone through the competition". If successful, the Strattons will see their vinegar in local Waitrose branches, have the product on display at the Country Living Christmas Fair 2008 and also receive £5000 from Waitrose to develop their business.
